With countries around the world facing many potential threats including natural disasters, terrorist incidents and major accidents, NSC’s national security and resilience training services are more relevant than ever before.   Working in a consortium for the Cabinet Office, we play a key role in Project Gold Standard – a strategic-level exercise package designed to put senior commanders’ emergency response plans through their paces.   Gold Standard provides a truly collaborative exercise environment for which NSC develops scenarios to rigorously test the strategic-level plans of local response forums.   We deliver the training on site at command and control centres around the UK and overseas, allowing for integration with existing command systems and a greater degree of realism. The service includes automatic logging of every phone call, email and decision, creating excellent post-exercise review possibilities.   We have used our innovative simulation software to test response plans to everything from pandemic flu outbreaks to terrorist incidents at a major international sporting event.
