Operational Analyst
Newman & Spurr Consultancy Ltd (NSC) is well known as a

provider of simulation and analysis driven Decision
Support and
Training Solutions. NSC Consultants are fielded
globally providing
Operational Analysis, Modelling and
Simulation software and Exercise
Design and Delivery of
War-game solutions encompassing the full
spectrum of
conflict, at all operational levels. You will be working
in
a team of technical and business professionals in
overseeing and
ensuring good quality Operational
Analysis and conducting Research
Studies on
behalf of defence and military clients. Typically a
graduate
with a good degree, you will have had several years
experience of OA and enjoy a role that is very customer
facing.

GENERAL
VACANCIES
If you meet the following
criteria we may be interested in you:

Good degree in Maths, Sciences, Engineering or Computer Science
-
Software Engineering with skills in some or all of the following: Object Oriented
Design, UML, Delphi, .NET, C++, FORTRAN, Visual Basic, SQL, MS Access, Visio
-
Operational Analysis with skills in some or all of the following: numerical
analysis, statistics and modelling techniques using tools such as Access, Excel and VBA
-
Background in defence industry preferred
Military Advisors:
-
Recent experience in the military, preferably in a single or joint service HQ environment
-
Experience of staff officer training and exercise planning
-
Sound knowledge of military concepts and doctrine
-
Understanding of wargaming, simulation and modelling techniques
-
Teaching and/or mentoring skills
-
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in pressurised situations
Graduate Entry:
-
Good degree in Maths, Sciences, Engineering or Computer Science
-
Strong interest in Software Engineering, Mathematical Modelling and/or Operational Analysis
