CONTACT-brigade takes a wider view of the battlespace, providing capability for all aspects of a brigade HQ. Terrain sizes are typically in the region of 100 km x 100 km encompassing all terrain types. The full range of assets available to a Brigade commander are represented, including aviation, artillery and mobility/counter-mobility assets. Within CONTACT-brigade units can be displayed and controlled at Platoon or Company level, the CONTACT resolution engine still simulates these units at entity level – therefore allowing the users to “drill-down” into the specific detail at entity level if required.

The use of CONTACT-brigade alongside CONTACT-urban allows for an urban vignette to be exercised within the context of a full Brigade scenario.

CONTACT-brigade is used at the Land Warfare Centre in support of Command and Staff Training activities at the brigade level.
